ACCEPT vs REJECT filters

Postby n4aof » Wed Jan 01, 2003 12:15 am

I'm sure this is explained SOMEWHERE, but I'm lost in the woods looking for it....

How do the Accept and Reject filters interact?

What I'd really love to have happen is for accept filters to override the Reject filters -- so I could, for example, filter out the name of a TV series that I don't want to download, but would still download files for an episode of a favorite series where one episode title happened to match what I normally reject; i.e. Reject THIS Unless THAT

From what I've been reading, it seems that the filters combine in exactly the opposite way.

If this is the case, then I will need to write much more detailed reject filters. :'(

Yeah, the reject filter overrides the accept filter. Maybe we need a switch to toggle this.
