Filter profiles, don't seem to work Nb pro 4.06 build 3963

I've got several filter profiles setup, for example I've got a profile with 2 items in the accept list (and the Accept Subject Filter checkbox is checked), the two items are:

dungeon keeper
static

The funny thing is, all the newsgroups that have this filter profile seem to be downloading everything. As I understand it, the reject filters override accept filters so obviously I shouldn't need to have any?

I'm probably missing somthing simple, buy trying to search the forum for my answer is a bit futile (keywords like filter outta make for a few hits).

Maybe I spoke too soon, I stopped and restarted NewsBin and it looks like things are proceeding as they should. Odd..
