Notify for new beta ?

Is there an option so that when running a beta version you are informed there is a new beta version released ?
NL pops up a message that a new beta is available when you start NL beta.

It saves having to check the web site frequently if the program has been updated.

The Message of the day should be popping up when a new beta is available. I'll ask Dex if he's updating it, I'm pretty sure he did though.

If you have the message of the day disabled, you won't see it.

Where is "The Message of the day" option ?
I've hunted through options and can't find it, it's not in Notifications options.

It's in the advanced options. "Show MOTD on startup".

Sometimes we put up betas and don't announce them too so, that people can find show stoppers before we announce the new version.

Thanks Quade, It is ticked correctly and I see the entry now. Daft how you think you look carefully through options and still don't see them.
Maybe I didn't give it long enough to call home after starting Newsbin today.

I always like a new beta as soon as it's out, anything different to fiddle with and try and break is welcome

The latest beta was released two days ago and announced in the Registered Users forum. I usually give it a couple of days to percolate and make sure there are no showstopper issues before putting opening the floodgates with an MOTD announcement. I'll probably put the announcement up today.
