Assemble Incompletes not working as expected

So I understand that incompletes get put in the "Failed Files" now in 6.6(latest). This is probably going to drive me back to 6.5x but not just yet.

In 6.6(latest) if you select these files in the "Failed Files" list and tell it to "Assemble Incompletes" Newsbin sends them back to the "Downloading Files" list, does a bit of processing, and chucks them back into the
"Failed Files" list. Autopar is on if that is important.

Also, I wonder if we can have a global option to just assemble incomplete files after the retries expire and get on with life?

The only time it should be sending incomplete files to the failed list is if there are no PAR files. Is that the case here? With pars, it tends to keep trying?

I could probably add an "assemble no matter what" option. If you don't have PARS, you'll just end up with a bunch of broken files.

Yes there are no Pars associated with the files. Why would I want this you may ask?

There are a large numbers of posts that are not encrypted, with names like "dsjawehfavalrjbalblaurhbv" (I made this name up ), and are just the right size.
The only way I know how to figure out what they are is the download at least the part001's and open them. Even broken RARs can be opened 90% of the time.

Also, If my primary server was unreliable sometimes and I had a block account on a fill server, I might want to know exactly how much I needed to download from the fill server and manually choose the most broken parts to minimize the repeated bandwidth from my primary server.

I guess another point would be why offer "Assemble Incompletes" from the the menu if Newsbin isn't going to do it.

It works in the download list. Apparently not in the failed. It's something I'll have to look at. I think the redesign of the download list borked it.

This is still not working in 6.73RC1.

Assemble Incompletes from the "failed files" list still goes to "download list" then right back to "failed files".

After retrying from failed, how long does it take to go from the downloads list back to the failed list?
