Under Options: Download Speed Limit! What is the benefit?

I have noticed this option for a while I just never really bothered with it.
I have High-speed internet so I cannot fathom a use for me.

The only thing I can think off if you are streaming video from streaming service or have a crappy router where much traffic can affect everything online.

IDK really. I was just curious what benefits or scenarios would be a good use of this option?

I share my internet with my family. If I'm downloading at 125 Mbps, everything on the network slows down. So I limit my download speed to 85 Mbps during the day.
