Watch topics not using "Display Age"

Hi,
maybe I not seeing something, or using it wrong, but everytime I double click on a watch topic, it opens up with *all* entries (basically what "show all files" does) being displayed.
On a larger list, this usually takes minutes to finish. Meanwhile the downloads and everything else stalls and NB is basically unresponsive until it's all processed.
Is there a way to make it use display age as default, or have I just overlooked a setting?
Thanks!

Yeah that's how it's intended to work. I can think about it for the future.

That would be so convenient, thanks!
At least make it optional. Currently it's pain in the butt to use.

I'd also like to see a "Display Age" option added to the watch lists. I can interrupt the loading and set a display age after loading the watch list. Then when it gets too large, I'm forced to purge all of the posts and start over.

Why not just purge the old ones? If you select the old ones, shift-delete will remove them from the database.

That isn't the most convenient. The less things I have to micromanage in my life, the better. "Storage Age" and "Display Age" are good features available for regular groups, and would be provide similar benefits for watch topics.

I personally do this when I can, with posts that are obviously fake/corrupt/passworded or just irrelevant to me. But just generally removing posts, based on their age doesn't "feel right"

And most of the times, it's the older posts, that I'm after anyways. So, being able to choose a certain time frame would be great. Just like regular groups.

It's worth thinking about. I'll note it for the next beta cycle.

Cool. I mean, Custom Lists already work that way, right?

I'd have to look. Custom lists are intended to be just another view of the group whereas watch lists are for things captured out of the headers and search.
