Does anyone know if Newsbin Pro will run under ARM Windows 11 on an M processor Mac (Apple Silicon) with VMWare virtual machine (or Parallels)? Thinking of moving from Intel Mac to new M Mac and still want to be able to run Newsbin.

Newsbin is a pretty simple application. It runs under Wine on Linux as well as it does in Windows. I don't know enough about macs. Can you run other Windows software on them? I was under the impression they had some sort of x86 emulator so they could run older mac software.

Thanks for the reply. I decided to use a KVM and switch between new mac and an old pc rather than deal with virtualization issues. Got NB Pro reinstalled on PC and I copied over the .nbi and .db3 files from the previous installation. I edited the .nbi file and got paths corrected and working. Servers and groups copied over as well. Filter profiles, however, did not copy. Any way to get filters back without recreating them all? Thanks!

Filters are in filters.db3. You could copy it over. I'd make a backup first.

Thanks for the quick reply. Yes, I did copy that file along with the others but none of my custom filters show. Weird. Guess I’ll just recreate them. Thanks.

Ok, disregard my help request. I copied over the Filters.db3 file again now it works. Guess 3rd time's the charm.
Thanks for your forbearance.
