Just a quick comment as I haven't seen this discussed here (though I do see some similar comments in the beta/dev sections), posting here in case it helps save someone else some frustration:
Recently, Newsbin Pro 6.90 has become extremely slow on the par/decode process. Download performance was fine, but when decoding, the NewsbinPro process was consuming <1% CPU, while the Windows Defender "Antimalware Service Executable" process was pegged at 100% of one CPU core (in my case, 25% of overall CPU). I ended up creating an exclusion for NewsbinPro64.exe in Windows Defender, and the problem immediately went away. Windows Defender still uses fairly high CPU during decoding, but the NewsbinPro process is no longer throttled.
OS is Windows 10 version 22H2, running in a KVM virtual machine. Defender is kept up to date, and no other antimalware is installed. I assume this is due to a change on the Windows Defender side, probably within the last month or so.
