Terrible download speeds! Stay away from PU!!

Postby alitinko » Wed Aug 08, 2007 12:20 pm

It's been nearly 24 hours now and the speed is getting worse every hour!
This is simply unacceptable for the reseller of a company like Giganews.
And beware, I thought I was in trial period but they've directly charged my card for the first month (full price=14,95) just because I tried Usenet.net first, so now I'll have to use this crappy service for a whole month!!

[i]We re-routed our traffic around the problem. Our users can connect, but
download speeds are still slow for some. Our network engineers are
monitoring the situation. They will route the traffic back to the fast
path as soon as they can.

What's your speed suppose to be, and what are you seeing with how many connections?

I have never had a problem with them in the year I've been with them

If it lasts for long just don't renew. I mean you blow more money seeing a lame movie at the theater

Personally I recommend PU very highly

Powerusenet rocks! I've been with them for over a year and never had any problems. My speed always maxes out with 3 or 4 connections. The recent increase to 105 days retention and 6 slots just saturates my pipe all the more.

btw, 24 hours of slow speeds isn't much to complain about if you ask me.

I've been a customer for 1+ year, and very happy... Sometimes, speed goes below 250k/s, but maybe it's my ADSL connection... 90% of the time speed >350k/s (on a 4,6Mbs ADSL line)
A rating...

I have never had a problem here and I've been here for over two years. Shaw is usually the problem. Image link not allowed for unregistered users
