I have noticed that when searching for say a tv program I have missed that I can find par2 files but no data. These search results usually contain a hex string such as '7964c9565072eb22dc2c7797ba250e88' but searching for this just returns the par files missing from the initial search. I cannot imagine why someone would only post par2 files!
I realise that in some instances these are posted separately from the data files and you must download both. Downloading books is sometimes a two stage process where the first result returns a numeric string that must be searched for separately.
I welcome some advice

This can be a side-effect of the fact that many posts are now being obfusticated so you can get the par2 files named differently from the main set.

Thank you Itimpi.
I somehow thought that this might be the case. With eBooks I understand the use of a numeric string but not with these video files. I have searched for the particular poster but cannot find anything that might tie the par2 files to the correct data file(s).

Dex and I are in the midst of making changes to handle these highly obscured posts. I can't give you a time line but we're working on it.

Hi Quade
I wonder how things are going with this project? I am finding more and more instances of par2 files only particularly from poster 'Bob' There is no clue as to where the data is held or how to access it. I have tried searching for the hex string but without success.
Do you have any ideas please

From what we can tell, the bob posts are impossible to download without an NZB file created by the original poster. The associated rar files are totally randomized and posted across multiple groups.
