Why am I logged out after such a very short time?

How much time do I get to post a forum thread.
I tried a few times but I was logged out within, I don't know, maybe a minute??

I'm not sure. I'm pretty sure I remain logged in all the time.

I'll have to ask Dex about it. I'm using Chrome over SSL to the forum.

It happened again, when posting the other post (about newsbin.nbi.bak).
Knowing that I copy my text to a clipboard manager first before hitting the preview button.

Was using Edge, but it also happened whilst using Chrome.

I drafted the same post 3 times and could post it the 4th time only.

Maybe it has something to do with some sort of inactivity counter?

(btw: whilst drafting this post I was logged out as well ...)

Meanwhile, the notification mails still mentions forums.newsbin instead of forums2 newbin.

Could that be changed?

I use https://forums.newsbin.com/, also check the option: Log me on automatically each visit

As far as I know forums2 is just an alias for forums.newsbin.com. I think it was used before we had the SSL cert covering everything. I'd suggest never using "forums2".

Session length is set to 36000 seconds (10 hours). Is your IP changing or something in the background? If your IP changes you'll lose the session.

forums2 was temporary, the real URL is forums.newsbin.com but both will work. They resolve to the same endpoint.
