A question about Watch syntax...

If I want to create a watch list that contains full names. When I Test Watch, I get:

Air Fryer
Records: 70980
Matches: 5

Next test:
Classic
Records: 70993
Matches: 16

Classic|Air Fryer
Records: 70980

Air Fryer|Classic
Records: 70980
Matches: 6

What am I doing wrong?

What kind of watch is it? Headers or search?

What version are you using?

Watch lists by default work on the headers "passing by". Are you getting these numbers by re-scanning a group or group of groups?

At this point I am merely testing my "Search For:" string via the "Test Watch" button near the bottom of the Create New Watch window, to see how many results I am getting. I know from past experience that your watch lists can be nuanced, and it is best to check them as you set them up.

I'd try the 6.91RC1 and then we can work out the symptoms. I'm not seeing anything wrong with the syntax

"this|that" should match either one or both.

"Air Fryer" would match AIR and FRYER.

One thing I do for complicated watches is set the filtering in a filter profile then assign the profile to the watch. That lets me filter on posters and subjects.

What I decided to do was to reduce the variables, and create a watch list per watch term.

With the ability to copy all parameters from a prior watch list, it seemed like a prudent course rather than try and troubleshoot what was going on. Plus, now all downloads of one type get routed to their own D/L directory, while others of another type have their own D/L directory.
